Friends of the South Florida Surface Design Association
The South Florida Surface Design Association was created for and run by Surface Design Artists. SFSDA continues to be an artist driven membership organization that develops and presents high quality fiber-art events and exhibitions that provide marketing opportunities for its members and also serve as educational, cultural and entertaining events for the community. The SFSDA consists of several types of members: exhibiting artisans, supporting non-artisan members, and businesses.
Membership is the easiest way to stay connected to and be informed about artisans, artists and events of the SFSDA Community. The general benefits of membership include a Holiday and Spring Trunk Sale, Association newsletters, social events, exhibitions and a members-only Facebook group. Come grow and create with us!

The Artisan Membership is for anyone who is actively engaged in their Fiber art or surface design in South Florida. One who is creating and sharing his/her work with the public in person at events or online, and who could potentially participate in one or both of the Annual Artisans Wearables Trunk Shows and exhibit in Association sponsored exhibitions.
For those of you who may want to support the SFSDA but are not artists, or for organizations that want to support the Association, you can become one of our VIP insiders by joining the Friends of the SFSDA. Friends will receive notifications of special member events, are eligible to participate in member workshops, and will receive invitations to special VIP events. You can participate at various levels:
FRIEND - $50/yr
The Friend Membership is for a lover/supporter of art and craft. A friend, partner/spouse, collector, supporter, etc. who wishes to be connected with the SFSDA, but not as an artisan or artist.
CONTRIBUTOR/ BUSINESS PARTNER - $100/yr
The Contributor Membership is designed for any organization, corporation, or private business that wishes to support the SFSDA. We are looking for opportunities to collaborate with our business partners to promote the arts. Your company logo will be displayed on our website.
PATRON - $200- 500/yr
The Patron Membership is for dedicated individuals who support the SFSDA with gifts starting at $200. This generous support helps us to promote our presence in the community, especially during our Juried Exhibitions and Wearables Trunk Sales in the Spring and during the Holiday Season.
BENAFACTOR- $1,000/yr
Your support to SFSDA not only benefits professional artists but further extends to contribute to the growth of emerging artists through SFSDA events.
Your money will go toward general operations support, without a doubt the most important support we can receive, as it helps to fortify The SFSDA while allowing our mission to thrive.
